Every year Schoonover Observatory hosts schools, organizations and civic groups with fun and informative presentations and opportunities to view the night sky. The Lima Astronomical Society also hosts events at other locations in cooperation with the Lima City Parks and Recreation and The Johny Appleseed Metro Parks. Over the years thousands of visitors have enjoyed these programs and events. Its part of our mission to make the night sky more accessible to the public at large at no charge whatsoever.

These programs and events are staffed by members of the Lima Astronomical Society and are funded by  annual membership dues and generous donations like yours.
